We checked out Peppa Pig Live in South Bend, Indiana. Keep reading to find out what we thought!
Full Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets to the show in exchange for my honest review.
The boys, Grandma and I were ready for a night out at the theater. We were excited to see Peppa Pig Live and experience our first show at the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend, Indiana.
We’re fans of Peppa Pig but I wasn’t sure how they were going to turn it into a live show. They used large puppets that were controlled and voiced by actors behind them. Mommy Pig and Daddy Pig were actors dressed in costumes.
The actors did a great job of imitating the voices and were very close to the same voices as the show, adorable accents and all.
The show was perfectly designed for toddlers and preschoolers. There were lots of songs and some audience interaction. The scenes moved quickly and the entire performance was timed just right for the attention spans of 2-5 year olds.
Grandma hit the merchandise stand and came back with too-fun lighted spinners. Admittedly, they distracted the boys from the show but I don’t think they put the spinners down for the next 72 hours (and the good news is they don’t make any noise!).
Do you have Peppa Pig fans in your house? Then you won’t want to miss the live show when it comes to a city near you!
